Bulk-fill kompozit rezinler ile geleneksel kompozit rezinlerin klinik olarak karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Bu çalıĢmanın amacı, geleneksel kompozit rezinler ile bulk-fill kompozit rezinlerin arka bölge diĢlerindeki klinik performanslarını bir yıllık süre sonunda değerlendirmektir. 49 hastaya toplamda 98 adet sınıf II restorasyon yerleĢtirildi. Her hastada birbirine benzer rastgele seçilen en az iki adet sınıf II kaviteye, iki farklı teknikle sınıf II restorasyonlar yapıldı. Tüm restorasyonlarda tek bir adeziv sistem (Single Bond Universal, 3M ESPE, Almanya) uygulandı. Ağızdaki kavitelerden bir tanesine bulk-fill kompozit (Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior Restorative, 3M ESPE, Almanya) 4 mm‟lik tek kütle halinde yerleĢtirildi. Ġkinci kaviteye ise geleneksel nano kompozit (Filtek Ultimate Universal Restorative, 3M ESPE, Almanya) 2 mm‟lik tabakalar halinde uygulandı. Restorasyonlar, baĢlangıçta ve bir yılın sonunda modifiye USPHS kriterleri kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Veriler Kolmogorov-Smirnov Testi, Mann-Whitney U-Testi ve Wilcoxon T-Testi kullanılarak analiz edildi (p˂0.05). Bir yıllık kontrole gelme oranı %75.5‟tir. Bir yılın sonunda bütün restorasyonlar küçük değiĢiklikler sergilemiĢtir. Tüm kriterler için baĢlangıç ve bir yıl sonunda materyallerin performansları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı fark gözlenmemiĢtir (p˂0.05). Sınıf II kavitelerde bulk-fill kompozit rezinler geleneksel kompozit rezinler ile karĢılaĢtırıldığında benzer bulgular sergilemiĢlerdir. Bu materyallerin uzun dönem klinik performansı için daha fazla çalıĢma gerekmektedir.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the one-year clinical performance of bulk-fill resin composite with conventional composite resins in the posterior teeth. A total of 98 class II restorations were placed in 49 patients. Composite restoration with two different techniques were placed two each patient which received at random at least two, as similar as possible class II restorations. In all cavities, a single step universal adhesive (Single Bond Universal, 3M ESPE, Germany) was applied. In one of the cavities of each pair in mouth, bulk-fill resin composite (Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior Restorative, 3M ESPE, Germany) was placed, in bulk increments up to 4 mm as needed to fill the cavity. In the second cavity, the conventional nano composite (Filtek Ultimate Universal Restorative, 3M ESPE, Germany) was placed in 2 mm increments. The restorations were evaluated using modified USPHS criteria at baseline and at the end of one-year. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, Mann–Whitney U-test and Wilcoxon T-test (p˂0.05). One year recall rate was 75.5%. All restorations showed minor modifications after one year. No statistically significant differences were observed between the materials performances at baseline and after one-year for all criteria (p˂0.05). Bulk-fill resin composites had the similar results in class II cavities when compared with the conventional composite resin. Further investigations are necessary for the long-term clinical performance of these materials
