Ürolojik cerrahide kullanılan inovatif cerrahi aletlerin tasarım ve üretim süreçleri

Abstract

Üroloji uzmanları tarafından tanısı konan ve tedavisi düzenlenen erektil disfonksiyon (iktidarsızlık) tanısının son basamak tedavisinde penil protez (yaygın adı ile mutluluk çubuğu) implantasyonu düşünülmektedir. Bu cerrahi operasyon sırasında penil protezlerin penis içerisinde yerleştirileceği kanalların implantasyona hazır hale getirilmesi, dilatasyonu ve uygun protez için yapılan ölçümler için özel olarak tasarlanmış cerrahi aletlerin mevcut olmadığı, bu nedenle de Türkiye'de ve Dünya'da gerçekleşen operasyonlarda çoğunlukla jinekoloji operasyonları için tasarlanmış başka bir cerrahi aletin amaçlanan tasarımı dışında kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Bu bilgiler, penil protez implantasyonlarındaki katılımcı deneyimleri ve penil protez operasyonunda uzmanlaşmış hekimlerden içgörü toplanarak yeni bir cerrahi alet tasarımı yapılmıştır. İlgili cerrahi alet hem paslanmaz metal malzemeden çok kullanımlık olarak üretime uygun şekilde tasarlanmış ve prototip üretimi gerçekleştirilmiş hem de polimer malzemeden tek kullanımlık olarak seri üretime uygun şekilde tasarlanmış ve prototip üretimi gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Erectile dysfunction (impotence) is a very common men's health issue, diagnosed and treated by specialized urologists. Penile prosthesis implantation is considered as a final step in the treatment of this condition. It has been observed that there is a lack of purpose-designed surgical tools (Corpora Cavernosa Dilators) which are essential during the penile prosthesis implantation surgery to dilate and measure the space in the erectile chambers of the penis. So far, surgical tools initially designed for cervical procedures have been used by urologists all around the world despite the shortcomings experienced with these tools. Considering the insights derived from specialized urologists, an innovative surgical tool has been designed. This new surgical tool is manufactured as a prototype both from stainless metal material as a reusable tool and from polymer material as a single-use tool. The design is suitable or mass production.
